Abstract
CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, AND CAMBRIDGE, U.K.-- Could our species have been born in a rapid burst of change? Researchers from different disciplines are trying to find out. A flurry of new evidence from three sources--fossils, art and artifacts, and genes--is forcing researchers to rethink just what traits mark the origin of our species and how and when these traits appeared. Keywords
