Abstract
Rat-brain tissue was homogenized in the presence of fluoride to depress apyrase, and hexokinase activity of the homogenate was measured manometrically. Phenothiazone was found to be a powerful inhibitor of hexokinase, with 50% inhibition at about 7 × 10−6 M concentration. The possible relationship of this finding to the anthelmintic activity of phenothiazine is discussed. Keywords
