Abstract
Cultures of Trombicula alfreddugesi and T. splendens are maintained in wide-mouth, pint, glass, canning jars with tight screw caps. A paste of plaster of paris 90 parts by weight and activated charcoal 10 parts by weight is poured 2.5 cm. thick into the base of the jars. Vermiculite, regular size is spread in a layer .5 cm. deep over the set plaster-charcoal and forms a light, porous, inorganic medium in which trombiculids live well. Keywords
