Measurement of the static quadrupole moments of the first2+states inMo94,Mo96,Mo98, andMo100

Abstract
The static quadrupole moments Q2+ and the B(E2;0+2+) values of the first 2+ excited states in Mo94, Mo96, Mo98, and Mo100 have been determined by Coulomb excitation experiments performed by resolving elastically and inelastically backward scattered He4 and O16 projectiles detected in four surface barrier detectors. The measurements yielded for Q2+ and B(E2;0+2+):(0.13±0.08) e b or (+0.01 ± 0.08) e b and (0.196 ± 0.003) e2 b2 for Mo94; (-0.20 ± 0.08) e b or (+0.04 ± 0.08) e b and (0.270 ± 0.004) e2 b2 for Mo96; (-0.20 ± 0.09) e b or (+0.16 ± 0.09) e b and (0.266 ± 0.005) e2 b2 for Mo98; (-0.42 ± 0.09) e b or (-0.10 ± 0.09) e b and (0.511 ± 0.009) e2 b2 for Mo100.
