Abstract
Mental health education is a vital aspect of community mental health programs. All mental health workers potentially may be educators, and they should be aware of the educational functions they might assume in the conduct of community mental health functions. In addition, the numerous tasks which require the services of a professionally trained mental health educator are outlined. Suggestions are offered for augmenting professorial training programs to include attention to the educational functions of community health workers. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
