Abstract
The isolation of a fucose-containing glycoprotein from bovine red cells by preparative disc-electrophoresis is described. The substance contains about 3% L-fucose, 7% D-galactose and 4% N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and occurs, together with neuraminic acid-containing mucoids in the phenol/saline extracts of red cell stromata of bovine and other mammalian species, as well as in other tissues and organs, such as brain. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
