Abstract
Sorghum is the staple food for some 600 million people in the semi-arid tropics. In temperate zones of China also it is used as a food but elsewhere primarily for feed. Sorghum is generally grown in areas too dry for maize but the yield capability of the two crops is similar. Keywords
