Abstract
By seeking to find the "causes of crimes committed by an individual," we are attempting to discover why an individual [is tempted to] take the criminal road. These causes differ from those of criminal activities in the entire society that are identified through a comprehensive, holistic study of the phenomenon of crime from a macrocosmic perspective. From June 1984 to July 1985, we conducted a survey into the causes of crimes committed by 5,350 imprisoned juvenile delinquents in six provinces and municipalities. Based on findings of the survey and research results by our predecessors, we have gradually developed a theory of comprehensive dynamics to explain the causes for juvenile delinquency. Keywords
