Abstract
A survey of graduates of 15 gerontology master's degree programs indicated that employment roles and agencies were primarily administrative, not direct service. Most graduates accepted these positions immediately after graduate school whereas others moved into them after holding another type of position. The implication is that gerontology degree holders are finding appropriate employment but frequently not in the area of their preparation. Keywords
