Abstract
A true vertical luminous line observed in a dark room with head tilted sidewise generally appears to be displaced in the opposite quadrant (Aubert phenomenon). A vertical rod touched with the hands moved up and down along the rod is, however, perceived as tilting in the same direction as the tilt of the head.Keywords
