Effects of water on proton migration in alcoholic solvents. Part 6.—Conductance of hydrogen chloride in hexan-1-ol and in octan-1-ol at 25°C

Abstract
The electrical conductivity of hydrochloric acid in water-containing hexan-1-ol and octan-1-ol has been measured at 25°C and the data analysed by the Fuoss–Shedlovsky method. Intercomparison of these results with the data of earlier conductance studies of the same solute in the lower homologs of this alcoholic series shows once more the specific influence of the solvent structural component on abnormal proton migration.
