Direct Reaction Inelastic Proton Scattering from 20Ne

Abstract
The transition amplitudes for direct reaction inelastic proton scattering from nuclei are formulated using target spectroscopy given by angular momentum projection from axially symmetric minimal energy Hartree-Fock intrinsic states of N = Z nuclei. Applications to the scatterings from 20Neare made, from which the importance of virtual excitations of giant resonances is evident.
