Abstract
In a study of the inter-relationship of methionine and pyridoxine in which human subjects were used, no effect of a high dosage of methionine on the urinary excretion of B6 and its metabolites was observed. The role of vitamin B6 in the methylation of nicotinamide was shown by increased urinary excretion of N-methylnicotinamide, when given methionine and B6 but not when given only methionine. Keywords
