Abstract
Two cases of central retinal artery occlusion of prolonged duration (> than 6 h) were treated with retrobulbar anesthesia, anterior chamber paracentesis and high-dose CO2 and O2 inhalation. Both cases recovered excellent vision and showed that visual recovery after relatively prolonged central retinal artery occlusion is possible.
