Abstract

P. punctatus is described and illustrated. Morphological development and other diagnostic characteristics are presented. The new sp. may be distinguished from other sp. of the genus by its unique ascospores, which are oval with a thick rim on the longitudinal axis. Also, the spore wall is finely punctate.
