Abstract
The self-consistent equations derived by Appelbaum and Penn (AP) for a single strongly correlated impurity site in a narrow conduction band are solved using a rapidly converging density of states. This rectifies the convergence difficulties AP found when they used a Lorentzian density of states. We find that , the total electron occupation number at the impurity site, is 0.497, compared to 0.4 found by AP. Results for the resistivity as a function of temperature are also presented.
