Abstract
Summary: By gel diffusion and immunoelectrophoresis protein A from S. aureus was shown to give one precipitation line against normal guinea pig serum and two lines against guinea pig anti-EA serum. The single line of normal serum corresponded to γ2-globulin and the double lines of immune serum to γ1- and γ2-globulin. The two nonidentical lines for γ1- and γ2-globulin could not be explained by heterogeneity of the protein A preparation. No reaction was detected between protein A and guinea pig γM-globulin.Keywords
