Abstract
Doctors have been concerned with ear, nose and throat (ENT) diseases since the earliest times, but there was no single specialty before the introduction of endoscopic methods last century. Effective visualization of the ears, nose and throat poses significant problems for the medical illustrator today. The development of endoscopy and endoscopic photography is outlined with background information to help the illustrator who has to work in this field. Keywords
