Abstract
This study examined empirically the effects of 13 appraisal system characteristics on the verdicts rendered in 66 employment discrimination cases. Of the 13 characteristics, 5 were found to differentiate between judgments for the plaintiffs and the defendants. Implications of these findings are discussed, including their use in the prediction of case outcomes.Keywords
