Abstract
Twelve tensor fascia lata myocutaneous free flaps were done in 11 patients. There were 2 complete failures and 2 partial failures. The complete failures were related to problems with the recipient vessels. The flap has a reliable pedicle and vascular territory and can be transferred with its sensory nerve. Excessive bulk is a common problem, especially on the heel and ankle. Keywords
