An efficient, accurate algorithm for calculating CO2 15 μm band cooling rates

Abstract
A fast, accurate method for obtaining atmospheric carbon dioxide transmission functions for the 15 μm band is presented. Tables of transmissivities for CO2 mixing ratios of 330 and 660 ppmv on standard pressure grids comprising geopotential heights ranging from 0 to 80 km and using standard temperatures are included. An algorithm for interpolating from these values to any desired temperature profile and to any other pressure grid is detailed.
