Abstract
Eighty cases of paroxysmal positional nystagmus are reported. According to the pattern of this nystagmus, it is suggested a classification of symptoms into 4 types type Dix-Hallpike, type Stenger, divergent and convergent types. These types have shown a certain correlation to the presumed site of the vestibular lesion. The pathophysiological basis of this symptom is discussed. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
