Abstract
Intractable pain of cancer is managed by one of two approaches: tumor therapy to diminish or destroy the neoplasm or symptomatic therapy that does not affect the neoplasm. Narcotics are indicated only when other methods of therapy are ineffective or inapplicable.Keywords
