Abstract
Magnetoacoustic data at frequencies up to 390 Mc/sec have been obtained for high-purity tungsten. From the observed oscillatory behavior, extremal dimensions of the Fermi surface have been determined as a function of crystallographic direction. The resulting shape of the surface is in qualitative agreement with recent theoretical predictions. Estimates of the extremal areas along symmetry directions are in reasonable accord with those found from high-field de Haas-van Alphen data. Keywords
