Die Untersuchung diente dem Nachweis noch speicherfähigen Lymphgewebes im Operationsgebiet einer Ablatio mammae. Von 40 Patientinnen, denen je 150 μCi 198Au kolloidale und 75 E. Hyaluronidase s.c. interdigital injiziert worden waren, wurden 24 Stunden später Lymphoszintigramme der Axillarregion geschrieben. In 40 Prozent der Fälle kam es zu einer lymphogenen Speicherung, deren Echtheit durch spätere Kontrollen mit konventionellen Lymphogrammen bestätigt wurde. 25 Prozent boten einen peripheren Aufstau der Aktivität im Armbereich; bei einigen, deren Verlaufsbeobachtung uns möglich war, hatten sich nach 8–12 Wochen klinisch imponierende Armödeme mit entsprechenden subjektiven Beschwerden entwickelt. The examination is used to demonstrate the presence of lymphatic tissue capable of uptake in the operation field during a radical mastectomy. In 40 patients, 150 μCi 198Au colloid and 75 units of hyaluronidase were injected subcutaneously between the digits and 24 hours later lympho-scintigrams of the axillary region were obtained. In 40% of patients, there was lymphatic uptake which was subsequently confirmed by conventional lymphograms. 25% showed peripheral block in the arm. Several of these, whom we were able to observe subsequently, showed definite oedema of the arm clinically after 8 to 12 weeks, with corresponding subjective symptoms.
