Abstract
A major problem with breast self-examination as a screening technique is that it is rarely well performed. It is therefore incumbent on every primary care physician to give ongoing instruction in BSE technique to female patients over 40. A ‘streamlined’ modification of the conventional BSE protocol is recommended to improve patient compliance. Keywords
