Abstract
The results reported in this paper show that lithium impurities stabilize interstitial halogen atoms also at 300 °K in the form of centers. The number of stabilized interstitials is limited by the diffusion of anion vacancies and their recombination with the interstitials. As a consequence, lithium impurities introduce a rapidly saturating first stage in the -center growth curve.
