Abstract
The results show that rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) are able to concentrate NO ions in the blood plasma. After 24 hr in water containing 0.7 mM/l NO, the blood plasma contained about 5mM/l NO suggesting that the gills have the ability to transport NO2 against a concentration gradient. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
