Rehabilitation of The Postinfarction Patient

Abstract
Today the goal in rehabilitation of the uncomplicated postinfarction patient is not simply restoration but enhancement of function. A planned program of physical training has demonstrated that maximal oxygen uptake, and with it heart rate, blood pressure, exercise ECG, and other indices of cardiac function, can be significantly improved in properly selected patients tested to determine the appropriate exercise Rx.
