Abstract
The sex tract exclusive of ovaries and Fallopian tubes was removed from 5 rats 26-36 days old. At the ages of 38 to 55 days 4 of the animals exhibited normal sex behavior upon being placed with [male][male]. The estrus cj''cles, as shown by the activity in revolving drum cages, were somewhat irregular in 1 of the 4 rats that displayed normal sex behavior and were quite irregular in the animal that failed to exhibit any sex activity. Afferent nerve impulses from the uterus and vagina are evidently not essential for mating activity in rats. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
