Abstract
Because their suicide rates are consistently the highest of the 60 and older population in the USA, a strong rationale exists for focusing the attention of suicidological and gerontological research on older white males. A study of geriatric suicide occurring in Arizona during 1970-1975 resulted in a profile of the “typical” older white male suicide in Maricopa County. Keywords
