The 5C2 Survey of Radio Sources

Abstract
The Cambridge One-Mile Telescope has been used to make a second survey of weak radio sources at 408 MHz. Over 200 sources were observed in an area 4° in diameter, with a positional accuracy of a few seconds of arc and a limiting flux density $$S_{408}= 11.5 \times 10^{-29} \enspace \text {W m}^{-2} \text {Hz}^{-1}$$ over the central part of the area. 11 of the sources were also observed at 1407 MHz. Some optical identifications are suggested, including a number of normal galaxies and possible quasi-stellar sources.
