Abstract
The N-trifluoroacetyl analogue of chloramphenicol was found to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli less than chloramphenicol, rather than more as previously reported by others. It also inhibits protein synthesis by E. coli and rat liver mitochondria less. Keywords
