The Magnetic Moments ofAg107andAg109and the Hyperfine Structure Anomaly

Abstract
The nuclear magnetic moments of Ag107 and Ag109 are measured by nuclear induction and found to be μ(Ag107)=(0.113042±0.000013) nm and μ(Ag109)=(0.129955±0.000013) nm. The ratio of the moments is measured to be μ(Ag107)μ(Ag109)=0.86985±0.00001; this ratio combined with the ratio of the hfs separations as measured by Wessel and Lew yields for the hfs anomaly Δ=(0.412±0.006) percent, which is compared to calculated values.
