Abstract
Inhaled beclomethasone is an effective drug in asthma and in doses of 300-800 g/day is quite safe. Suppression of the adrenals is not a clinically important problem. New developments in delivery systems, like tube spacers will improve efficacy. Some new inhaled corticosteroids like budesonide, triamcinolone, and, flunisolide show potential for the future. Keywords
