Abstract
Acupuncture as a treatment modality is now more widely used by the medical profession. It behoves both practitioners and patients to be aware of possible complications, the majority of which can be avoided with cautious and prudent use of this ancient therapy. There have been many isolated reports of complications of acupuncture in the literature. We surveyed the literature identifying all articles referring to complications of acupuncture. Our findings are presented and discussed. Keywords
