Abstract
Energy spectra were obtained from inelastic scattering of 15-MeV deuterons by various isotopes of Sn, Cd, Te, and Mo. The and collective states are located, and the systematics of their excitation energies and cross sections are studied. Crude estimates are obtained for the octupole vibrational deformation parameter for these isotopes and for isotopes of Zn, Se, Zr, and Pd studied previously. Many other (noncollective) levels are catalogued, and some information is obtained on their parities.
