Abstract
The endoscopic findings in a 67 year old patient with Cronkhite-Canada syndrome after partial gastrectomy are reported. In the gastric remnant and duodenum the mucosa was covered by numerous hydatiforme polyps which on histological examination proved to be most probably of inflammatory origin showing groups of mucoid glands with marked cystic dilation and extensive edema of the tunica propria. During rectosigmoidoscopy only a few glassy polyps were seen which increased in number towards the descending colon. Follow-up studies after one year of conservative treatment with how residue diet revealed a regression of the polyps in regard to size and number. Keywords
