Abstract
Many aspects of intravascular lipid transport and lipoprotein metabolism are exquisitely sensitive to the influence of circulating hormones. A rational clinical approach to the commonly encountered hyperlipidemias requires a thorough understanding of endocrine regulating mechanisms. Control points that may be relevant to pharmacotherapy are discussed. Keywords
