Abstract
The Wannier theory for the double escape of two electrons from a positive ion is extended to general values of the total orbital and spin angular momentum and parity of the pair. Except for and , all states are described by the same threshold law. Specific results on the correlations in energy, angle, and spin of the electrons are derived and compared with experimental data.
