Broken Chiral SU(4)xSU(4)

Abstract
The (4, 4*) + (4*, 4) model of broken chiral SU(4)×SU(4) is investigated. Exact sum rules for scalar and pseudoscalar mesons are derived in this model, which contain new twelve independent equations for π0-η-η′-ηc mixed channel. On some assumptions for these sum rules the mechanism of symmetry breaking is analyzed by using mass values of seven pseudoscalar mesons. Our solutions for symmetry breaking parameters show very large breaking of SU(4) symmetry of vacuum and LS, B(fD/fπ≪0, etc.). SU(4) symmetry of renormalization constants is also broken, for example, there exists no solution in the case Zp, t = Z(i = 1∼15). The problem of η-η′-ηc mixing is also discussed.
