Rorschach Correlates in Parkinsonʼs Disease

Abstract
Summary Forty-two Parkinson patients were divided into a high- and low-M group on the basis of Rorschachs administered prior to neurosurgery. The groups did not differ significantly on degree of motor inhibition. However, the high-M group gave more psychological rather than impersonal causes of illness, as well as significantly more negative self-statements. The reasons for the lack of relationship with motor inhibition are discussed in terms of attitudinal and physiological factors. Some implications of the other findings are presented.
