Abstract
The term “whiplash” is not a medical diagnosis, but is the result of soft-tissue trauma to the neck. A whiplash injury occurs as a result of a sudden acceleration or deceleration of the head and neck with respect to the body. This article recommends that patient treatment be individualized. Keywords
