Abstract
The presentation of this general subject, made in the paper1 previously published in the Archives, concerned itself chiefly with a detailed description of the mammalian cerebellum from the point of view of the arbor vitae and the folial pattern. This second study endeavors to carry somewhat further the direct comparison of the various subdivisions of the mammalian cerebellum by taking up each lobulus from the same points of view and drawing such conclusions as may seem warranted. This approach renders possible the attempt to establish direct homologies between the discrete subdivisions of the mammalian and the human cerebellum. In carrying out this investigation the chief difficulty encountered was the overloaded and confused state in which cerebellar nomenclature has enmeshed itself, and not the least purpose of this paper is to attempt to rid the cerebellum of this encumbrance and to substitute a more rational and descriptive terminology, discarding the
