MeningitisAlthough one does not include central-nervoussystem involvement among the more frequent complications of salmonellosis, under certain circumstances, particularly in the neonatal age group, salmonella meningitis may be a serious problem. A case that was successfully treated is presented below.Case 8. J.T. (M.G.H. 856328), a 2-month-old male infant, was admitted to the hospital with extensive burns estimated at 70 per cent of the body surface, about 40 per cent being 3d degree.
