Abstract
The effect of 2 ploughings at right angles and of several harrowings on the vertical distribution of seeds of linseed and lucerne which were sown on the surface, was studied by recovering the seeds from samples of soil. Half the linseed seeds, and 1/4 the lucerne seeds, were recovered. The number of seeds per unit volume increased with depth, down to 20 cm and the relationship is approximately quadratic. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
