Cerebral cysticercosis

Abstract
A 42-year-old man had suffered epileptic seizure for 3 years with intermittent headaches at the same time. During the onset, he exhibited subtle behavioral changes and disturbances of short-term memory. On examination, funduscopy was normal, but the electroencephalograph was abnormal existed slow waves and epileptic foci. The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) disclosed multiple round and class round cysts with consistent size in the brain parenchyma. Enhanced scanning revealed thicker cysts wall ring enhance surrounded with a little edematous zone (Figure 1). Full-medical check-up had not yet found any other lesions. In order to define the character of disease, he received invasive operational treatment of biopsy with neuroendoscopy. The result of pathologic diagnosed neurocysticercosis and the serum antibody of cysticercosisis positive simultaneously.Keywords
