Abstract
The difficulties in the unique definition of oscillations of a plasma with a non-Abelian interaction are considered. The recently formulated kinetic theory of the quark-gluon plasma in the semiclassical limit is presented and discussed with particular attention to the gluon sector of the theory. The transport equations are linearized around the global equilibrium and the chromoelectric permeability tensor is found. The dispersion relations of the plasma oscillations are discussed and the rate of oscillation damping is estimated. Keywords
