Abstract
A method of sculpting and fracturing that greatly enhances the efficiency and safety of in-situ nuclear fracturing (nucleofractis) techniques is presented. By nudging the nucleus of the lens inferiorly, sculpting can be accomplished very deep in the upper part of the lens to facilitate early and efficient fracturing. The benefits, advantages, and safety of this "down slope" sculpting technique are described. Keywords
