Abstract
Rectangular microstrip patch antennas which are electromagnetically coupled to a feedline are analyzed. Different thickness and different dielectric constants are considered. The analysis is also extended to electrically thick material. The results are derived with the help of the moment method in spectral domain using the rigorous dyadic Green's function of a grounded multilayered slab. Therefore, all the coupling effects and the influence of the surface waves are included. Accuracy of the presented computed techniques is verified experimentally. Keywords
